FUGL-MEYER Assesment

strokThe Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA) is a stroke-specific, performance-based impairment index. It is designed to assess motor functioning, balance, sensation and joint functioning in patients with post-stroke. Motor score: ranges from 0 (hemiplegia) to 100 points (normal motor performance);Divided into 66 points for upper extremity and 34 points for the lower extremity. We designed and developed exclusive Virtual Reality game-based rehabilitation product with different stages based on upper extremity rehabilitation for post stroke patients to increase the range of motion in the shoulder, elbow and wrist joints and improve motor function in upper extremity. FMA showed a significant improvement in motor function and a considerable effect on motor recovery by utilization of this product during rehabilitation in patients with stroke.
