Case Presentation #14

The patient is a 41 year old lady who works as a health care provider in a hospital. 10 days after constitutional symptoms and positive PCR test, considering her sudden left hemiparesia and the result of her brain CT, the emergency physician diagnosed her with “right sided ischemic stroke “. She began the conventional rehabilitation right away; however, since her progress was slow after two weeks, she started to feel depressed and unmotivated. After beginning the “Recovery Tech” VR game-based rehabilitation along with conventional rehab, the motor function of her upper limbs gradually improved so much that she was even able to comb and dress independently after one month. The Fugl-Meyer assessment and and Brunnstorm scale showed significant improvement in motor recovery as well.
